Silver Avenue Bike Boulevard Ribbon Cutting

Please join the New Mexico Complete Streets Leadership Team at our first ever Complete Streets Ribbon Cutting event! The group invites the community to join us for a celebration at Michael Thomas Coffee (202 Bryn Mawr Dr SE) in Nob Hill on February 22 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm. We will be getting together for an informal ribbon cutting for the new complete streets infrastructure on Silver Avenue. The City of Albuquerque recently added back-in parking, traffic circles, a cycle track, and a protected crossing along this corridor between Yale and Carlisle. Silver Avenue is a bicycle boulevard and these improvements create a much safer environment not only for bicyclists, but also for other roadway users such as pedestrians and drivers. We will be meeting for cake, coffee, and the mutual enjoyment of safe infrastructure. Please come to help us celebrate this project and feel free to talk to Complete Streets Team members about why these designs are beneficial and how they to be are used. Don’t forget – we will have cake!
